Gloria ‘Carol’ Bower Denman, age 69, of Ft. Myers, FL, formerly of Reedsburg, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2017, at NCH Hospital in Naples, FL surrounded by her family. She was born on December 18, 1947, the daughter of Irene and Gaylord Denman. Carol was a loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma and a friend to many. Carol loved reading books, going to the beach, and being with her family. She loved Dolly Parton and older music such as Elvis, Vince Gill, Randy Travis and more. She was a collector of cookie jars and Tweety Bird. She also enjoyed working in the healthcare field and spending time with the people she worked with. Carol had a great strength and was always there to support and encourage her family. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jerry Puckett; and sister, Barb Hauge. She is survived by her husband, Brian Bower of Florida; Daughter, Paula (Jerry) Hansen of Union Center; sons: Mike (Carrie) Puckett, Kevin (Teirney) Machovec, and Tommi Machovec, all of FL; Grandchildren: Mindy (Collin) Spencer, Hilary (Lamar) Makal, Perry (Shawn) Hansen, Aaron, Mikayla, Nikole and Korey; Great-grandchildren: Kasper, Mycah, Ethan and Eaven; Step-grandchildren: Madisyn, Mason and Cody; Siblings: Gary (Becky) Denman, Phillip Denman, Donald (Jennifer) Denman, Marlene Johnson, Donnette (DJ) Denman, Paulette Luke, Rhonda (Nick) Mayberry, and Kirby Denman, all from the Reedsburg area. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. All are invited to celebrate in Carol’s life with a memorial service at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Reedsburg VFW Hall. A luncheon will follow.
