Lucille Froehlich

Lucille C. Froehlich, age 94, of Reedsburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Casa de Oakes, Reedsburg. She was born on May 3, 1922, in Richland County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Elgie and Ruby (Kintz) McCauley. On February 27, 1941, Lucille was united in marriage to Gerhardt W. Froehlich at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hillpoint. This marriage was blessed with five children. Gerhardt and Lucille farmed for many years where she helped raise and care for the animals along with all chores that went with farm living. Gerhardt preceded her in death on March 20, 2002. Lucille was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, in Hillpoint, where she was formerly active in the Ladies Aid. She was a great cook and baker and will be remembered by her family for her delicious meals. She enjoyed going for coffee with her friends and the time she spent with her family. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sons, Gary and Dale; son-in-law, Richard Gleason; brothers and sisters: Dorothy (Steve) Foley, Norma Markley, Milford McCauley, Wilford McCauley, Gordon (Sonja) McCauley; brother-in-law Pat Hilleshime. She is survived by her children: Duane Froehlich of Richland Center, Meredith Gleason of Waunakee, Bill (Mardi) Froehlich of Kerrville, TX; Daughters-in-law, Rhonda Froehlich of Reedsburg and Patricia Froehlich of Elburn, IL; Grandchildren: Tammy (Joe) Murwin of Olathe, KS, James (Karen) Ferguson of Edgerton, Wendy Corr, of Cody, WY, Craig (Shilo) Hinrichs of Janesville, Chris Hinrichs of Waunakee, Bill (Sarah) Froehlich of Laramie, WY, Naomi (Jason) Fine of Chicago, IL, Kaylee Jo and Anna Froehlich both of Reedsburg; Great grandchildren: Kennedy and Jackson Corr, Gabriel and Mia Hinrichs, Cassidy and Tanner Ferguson, Mikayla Froehlich, Mylee Hyatt, Evan and Lexi Fine; Brother and sisters: Vaughn (Betty) McCauley of Reedsburg, Jen Hilleshime of LaCrosse, Janice (Ike) Keil of Dubuque, IA; Brothers and sisters-in-law: Conrad Markely of Reedsburg, Caroline McCauley of Richland Center, Ella McCauley of Ripon; along with several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Lucille Froehlich will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Hillpoint with Pastor Timothy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Agrace Hospice in lieu of flowers. The Farber Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
