Russell McPherson
Russell McPherson, age 65, of rural La Valle passed away peacefully on June 30, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on August 10, 1951, in Elmhurst, IL to his parents, LeRoy and Lois McPherson. On September 16, 1972 he married the love of his life, Cynthia Bruce and they had three daughters. Growing up he helped his dad farm in Lombard, IL. When he graduated from Downers Grove High School in 1969 he started working for Commonwealth Edison. He started off as a Cable Splicer and was promoted to Construction Supervisor and Line School Instructor. In November of 2003 he retired and began teaching Line School for another three years. Russ enjoyed spending time with his family and riding his 4 wheeler through the woods. He was preceded in death by his parents and many aunts and uncles. Russell is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cynthia McPherson of La Valle; Daughters and Son-in-laws, Heather (Richard) Wolf of Reedsburg, Cheryl (Roland) Magyar of Romania, Becky (Kyle) Ohan of Reedsburg; Sister, Nancy (Jack) Humphris or Lombard, IL, Grandchildren, Ava Wolf, Csermely Magyar, Deacon and Ashlyn Ohan. A Celebration of Russell’s life will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Reedsburg from 12:00 – 4:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.Obituary
