Edwin Knepprath Obituary

Edwin P. Knepprath, 83, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Meadow View Manor in Sheboygan. Edwin was born on October 31, 1929, in the Town of Holland, son of William and Rose (Kraus) Knepprath. He attended St. Nicholas School in Dacada. Edwin served in the US Army from 1954-1956 in Germany. On May 13, 1961, he married Marion S. Stromeyer in Kewaskum. Edwin was a dairy farmer in the Town of Holland for 25 years. He also was employed with Bolens in Port Washington for 25 years and Allen Edmonds Shoes for 4 years. Edwin was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls. He was also a member of the Belgium American Legion Post #412 and the Sheboygan Falls Senior Center. Edwin enjoyed dancing, listening to polka music, and playing bingo. Edwin is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marion; three daughters, Dolores Knepprath of Sheboygan Falls, Gloria (Mark) Grennier of Plymouth, and LeeAnn (Wayne) Andre of Sheboygan Falls; four sons, Joseph (Sharon) Knepprath of Minnesota, George Knepprath and Roland Knepprath, both of Random Lake, and Ronald Knepprath of Sheboygan; 6 grandchildren; one sister, Marion Schmitt of Sheboygan and; two brothers, Clarence Knepprath of Saukville and William Jr. (Loretta) Knepprath of Saukville; and sister-in-law, Carol Knepprath of Adell. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Michael Knepprath, one sister, Marcella Knepprath, and his brother, Robert Knepprath. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Edwin’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Richard Cerpich officiating. Burial and military honors will take place in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Dacada. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 8:30 am until the time of Mass at 10:00 am. A memorial fund has been established in Edwin’s name for Blessed Trinity Parish.
