Geraldine “Geri” Widder, 84, of Sheboygan Falls passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Geri was born on April 27, 1932 in Plymouth to Orlo and Julia (Werbeckes) Seider. She was a 1950 graduate of Plymouth High School. On July 18, 1953 she married Leonard Widder in Plymouth. Geri worked in the trust department at Security First National Bank for 20 years. Geri shared 63 years of love and devotion with her husband and best friend, Leonard. For the majority of her life she devoted herself to taking care of and raising her family. Geri loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Geri was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls, where she was a member of Christian Mothers Circle. Geri was also a member of Shoreline Women’s Group, Sheboygan Falls Fun Club, the “Ladies Card Club” and a leader for the Campfire Girls. Geri was a sports enthusiast. She enjoyed her bowling and golf leagues, watching old movies and game shows. Geri was an avid reader, always keeping up with current events. Geri is survived by her husband, Leonard; three daughters, Sue (Bob) Petska of Sheboygan, Debby (Stephen Westcott) Spaeth of Elkhart Lake, and Kathryn (Gary) Jones of Sheboygan; three sons, Kevin (Carleen) Widder of Sheboygan, Brian (Mary) Widder of Beloit and Gary (Denise) Widder of Plover; sixteen grandchildren, Bryan (Erin) Petska, Kim (Greg) Amos, Sarah, Jay and Derek Spaeth, Charlie (Jamie), Michael (Katie), Nicholas (Alexi) Jones, Joseph (Kayla), Jared (Ann Marie), and Adam Widder, Gus, and Frances Widder, Nate, Natalie and Nora Widder; seven great-grandchildren, Dean Petska, Emerson Amos, Logan Jones, Lucas and baby Widder, Theodore and Leena Widder; two sisters, Caroline (Jim) Dohms and Karen (Milt) Dabbert; three sisters-in-law, Mary Pohland, Margaret Widder and Audrey Widder. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Geri was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws, Gustave and Ida Widder; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roland (Clara) Widder, Frederick Widder, Willard Widder, Adeline (Donald) Lorenz, Norma (Delbert) Klemme, Elda (Melvin) Kalk, Irma (Wesley) Prange, Violet (George) TerMaat and Bill Pohland. A mass of Christian burial to celebrate Geri’s life will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 12 pm at Blessed Trinity Parish with Rev. Matthew Widder officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the church from 9:30 am until the time of mass at 12 pm. A memorial fund for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and the Salvation Army is being established in Geri’s name. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kumar and the staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center, as well as Dr. Bajawa and the staff on 3K at the Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
