Mildred Hoitink

Mildred J. Hoitink, 83, formerly of Oostburg, died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Pine Haven Christian Home where she had resided for the past ten years. She was born April 22, 1924 in the Town of Lima, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Anna (Ten Pas) Heinen. She attended Hillcrest School. On March 31, 1944, she married Harry J. Hoitink in Gibbsville. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1997. Mildred was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Oostburg. Survivors include three daughters, Bonita (Brian) Goll of Cedar Grove, Ruth Voskuil of Sheboygan, Mary (Brad) Oonk of Oostburg; four sons, DuWayne (Joan) of Cedar Grove, Willard (Mary) of Sheboygan, Roger (Cindy) of Sheboygan, Daniel Hoitink of Cedar Grove; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two sisters, Marion Claerbaut of Pine Haven Christian Home, and Evelyn (Allen) De Blaey of Random Lake; one sister-in-law, Margaret Heinen of Oostburg; and one brother-in-law, Lloyd (Delores) Hoitink of Plymouth. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son-in-law, David Voskuil; three brothers, Edward, Ellsworth, and Earl Heinen; and two sisters, an infant Jeanette Heinen and Cynthia Hopeman. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Christian Reformed Church in Oostburg, with the Rev. Dr. Leslie Kuiper, pastor, officiating. A family service will be held at 10:45 a.m. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery in the Town of Holland. Friends may call at the First Christian Reformed Church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Online condolences may be sent to wenig@wenigfuneralhome.com.
