Frances Bertz

Frances B. Bertz age 69 of Stevens Point passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening February 12, 2012 at her home. A mass of christian burial for Frances will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday February 17, 2012 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Rev. Robert Butz will officiate. Burial will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Friends and relatives will gather to share memories from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday evening at the Shuda Funeral Chapel. A bible vigil will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday evening at the chapel. Visitation will also take place on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church. Frances was born August 29, 1942 in Green Bay, the daughter of the late Max and Stella (Kowalkowski) Szymanski.&nbsp;<p><br></p><div>She graduated from St. Joseph's Academy and later attended Marquette, Madison, UWSP, and MSTC to further her education. Frances married Thomas Bertz on September 25, 1965 in Green Bay. The couple moved to Whitefish Bay, in 1967 the couple moved to Madison until 1973 when they settled with their family in Stevens Point. Frances enjoyed reading, gardening, was an avid Packer fan, but mostly loved being with her family and especially her grandchildren. Frances is survived by her husband Thomas; their two children: Thomas Jr (Jill) Waunakee. Sue Bertz (Eric Freund), Wisconsin Rapids. Grandchildren: Samantha, Taylor, Tanner, Emma, and Julianna. One brother: Jerry (Kathy) Szymanski, Green Bay.</div>
