Betty was born July 9, 1929 in Holbrook AZ. She was the daughter of Clarence J. and Marguerite (Peggy) Baldwin. The family moved to Albany Oregon where she graduated high school, then moved to Dallas Oregon in 1947. She met and married Jack W. Crider Sr. in 1949 and they had three children. Betty was a homemaker and business partner of Crider's Department Store in Dallas, OR. The Crider family built several homes in Pacific City Oregon where she lived from 1977-2003. Her husband, Jack W. Crider Sr. passed away in 1997. In 2000, Betty married Jack Sanders of Dallas Oregon. They moved to Green Valley Arizona in 2003. Her parents and her first husband Jack Wright Crider Sr. of Oregon predeceased her. Her three children, Karen Smith-Hudson of Scottsdale Arizona, Peggy Crider-Jennings of Portland Oregon and Jack W. Crider Jr. of Lincoln City Oregon, five grandchildren, one great grandson, and her husband Jack Sanders of Green Valley Arizona survive Betty.
Friends and family are invited to show their respects at the Dallas Cemetery, 2065 SW Fairview Ave, Dallas, OR 97338, on Saturday June 18, 2011. The funeral service and burial will begin at 2pm. The Bollman Funeral Home of Dallas is handling the arrangements.
