Darcy Demeester THE PAS, Manitoba Obituary

Darcy Demeester

Darcy was born Saturday, May 16th, 1964 at Davidson, Saskatchewan. He was raised on the farm (homestead) until the family moved to a small community of Hawarden, Saskatchewan. In 1975 the family moved to The Pas, Manitoba where he continued his education and loved hockey. He was in the junior league for years and knew he had a passion for it because the 5:30 a.m. practices didn’t bother him at all. The family then moved to Kelowna, BC where Darcy worked at Big White Ski resort for a short time before returning back to Davidson and began a career in the construction business at Cons Construction. He furthered his construction expertise in British Columbia for a couple years working with Carmen Cool then moving back again to Davidson where he worked for Gartner Construction. He not only constructed homes and buildings, but he also built a lot of relationships with friends and held those friendships with many of them today. During the summer months he was an active partner of fourteen years at the Rocky Lake Cabins business with his family and enjoyed it a lot. Darcy passed away accidentally at Rocky Lake, Sunday, November 28th, 2010, age 46 years. Darcy will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his mom and dad, Myrtle and Paul Demeester(Davidson); twin brother, Darwin Demeester (Saskatoon); sister, Theresa (Dale) Forster (Rocky Lake); nephews, Dillon and Jordan Demeester (Saskatoon) and Justin Forster (Rocky Lake); nieces, Brittany Forster (Wanless) and Raylene Demeester (Saskatoon); great nephew, Kayden Forster (Wanless); great niece, Brooklyn (Saskatoon); very special friend, Devra Poitra (The Pas); as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Darcy was predeceased by his grandparents, Omer and Andrea Demeester; Edward and Veronica Thomas; uncles, Edward Jr. Thomas, Julius Zatylny, Jerry Rokosh, and Walter Manz; aunties, Madeline Manz and Donna Demeester; cousins, Colleen Manz and Charlotte Belinski.
