Juliet was born Wednesday, September 20, 1967, on the trapline at Spruce Point, Kississing Lake, Manitoba.
As a child, Juliet Mary Castel lived her early years in Sherridon and Pukatawagan. In her later years, she moved to Cranberry Portage to raise her family. Then she moved back to Pukatwagan.
Juliet was a guiding star to her children, where she taught many different life long lessons to her family and friends. She was very kind hearted and generous to everyone she met.
Juliet was very creative in her beadwork, arts, and crafts and enjoyed teaching. She was a very inspirational women towards everyone she met. She loved her card games with family and friends where many different stories, jokes and laughter were shared.
Juliet enjoyed lessons through cultural teachings from family and friends. She would sit long hours with her mother as she would listen to stories about family who have passed on.
Juliet Mary passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Women’s Hospital, Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the age of 46 years.
Juliet will always be remembered by her family and friends. She is survived by her mother Helena Castel; special friend Leon “Billy” Hunter; children Blake Castel, Jared (Sweetgrass) Linklater, Hope Castel-Linklater; special sons Eagle Colomb, Xavier Castel, Peter Goldenhawk Castel; special daughters Jasmine Caribou, Elsa Castel; grandchildren Austyn Buck-Castel, Rihanna Castel, Aleesha Caribou-Castel, Dawntez Linklater, Kyle Nicolas; brothers and sisters Ernest Castel, Victor Castel, Sarah Jane (Hanson) Dumas, Dennis Griffin, Phillip Castel, Lloyd Castel; special brothers and sisters Delilah Caribou, Barbara (Mike) Dumas, Doreen Daniels, Mary Daniels, Andy Daniels, Lloyd Daniels, Roy Daniels, Terry Daniels; sisters-in-law Heather Charlette, Helen Castel, Suzette (Castel) Francois; uncles and aunts Phillip Charlette, Max Charlette, John Charlette, Jacob Charlette, Mary Villeneuve, Bernadette Young, Flora; plus many relatives and other children that she took in as her own, too numerous to mention.
Juliet was predeceased by her father Peter Castel; grandson Chase Castel; brothers Peter Charlette, Leo Castel, Alvin Castel, Clifford Castel; special sister Colleen Daniels, grandparents Mathias and Sophie Charlette; special grandparents Charles and Jean Charlette; great grandparents Phillip and Angelique Charlette; uncles Gabe Charlette, Sydney Castel, David Castel, Adam Castel, Arthur Castel, Don Villeneuve, David Charlette, Tommy Nicholas, Simon Nicholas, Fredrick Bighetty; great uncles Antoine “Scram” Charlette, Antoine “Boxy” Charlette; aunties Sarah Castel, Rose Castel, Domithilda Castel, Margarette Castel, Maggie North, Angelique Colomb, Marie Sinclair, Elsie Bighetty, Virginia Charlette; nephew Keith “Slim” Lambert Charlette, Joe-Joe Charlette; great nephew Lambert Roy Charlette; cousins Sydney Castel, George Castel, Donald Castel, James Charlette, Minnie Castel, Deloris Charlette, Diane Bighettty Hart; special friend Merle Bear.
