Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on Monday, January 25, 2010 at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife Gwen of Brockville; his daughter Daphne Skinner of Brockville; his son William Brown of Kingston; his grandson Shane Skinner (Amanda) of Ottawa and by his sister Louise Rogers of L.A. George was a career soldier who served as an Army Officer overseas in Word War II, the Korean War and UN peacekeeping in Lebanon. In keeping with George's wishes, private family arrangements are entrusted to the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville. Cremation and interment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. For those wishing, donations to the Brockville General Hospital Palliative Care would be appreciated.
