Lula (Ott) Foster, 83, of St. Joseph, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2010 at Royalton Manor, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Gerald Schroer officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Run Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Stevensville. Lula married Mr. Robert Foster on December 31, 1975 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stevensville, MI. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Lula was a member of the Women's Auxiliary American Legion, Post #331 in Bridgman for many years. Lula was a selfless, caregiver to those in need. She loved to hunt and fish. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family. Lula is survived by her loving husband, Robert Foster of St. Joseph; children, Charles Foster of Pacific, WA, David (Lauri) Foster of St. Joseph, Sharon (Mike) Aboe of Bellview, WA, Pam (Paul) Hamann of Berrien Springs, Danny (Amy) Foster of Paw Paw; Six grandchildren, Adam (Kimmie) Schlipp, Eric (Janelle), Sarah, Jonathan, Zak and Aaron Foster; two great grandchildren, Zoe Schlipp and Dylan Foster; Son-in-law, Keith Skibbe of Baroda and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Joy Skibbe of Baroda in 2005; her first husband, Amel “Jake” Ott and twelve brothers and sisters.
