Dwayne Krueger

Dwayne Krueger, 89, of Stevensville, MI passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 28, 2019 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2673 W. John Beers Rd., Stevensville with pastor Brett Ehlke officiating. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may visit from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M., Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Building Fund. Those wishing to share a memory of Dwayne online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com  Dwayne was born November 4, 1929 in Stevensville, MI to Carl & Esther (Machann) Krueger. He graduated from Stevensville High School. Dwayne served his country in the United States Air Force from 1950 until 1954 during the Korean War. On October 29, 1955 he married Rose Marie Gregg in Stevensville. He worked for various firms as a teamster retiring in 1987 from Signal Delivery Service. Dwayne enjoyed all things outdoors. His interests included farming, hunting, fishing and golf with lifelong friends. He loved taking trips to Texas to spend time with his granddaughters and for golf in the winter months. Dwayne was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Stevensville American Legion for over 50 years.  Dwayne is survived by his sons, Robert (Carolyn)Krueger, Brian (Debbie) Krueger; grandchildren Bethany Rose (Quentin) Bunnell and Rachel Krueger. Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents, wife Rose Marie, son Bruce Alan Krueger and brother Donald Krueger.
