Allen Dale Rosewall, 82 of St. Joseph (formerly of St. Petersburg, Florida) died Sunday, March 8th, 2009 at Caretel Inn in St. Joseph. A service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, March, 11th, 2009 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service at New Troy Cemetery, in New Troy, MI. Allen was born April 28, 1926 in Benton Harbor to Amos and Fannie (Totman) Rosewall. He worked many years for the Honeywell Corporation in Florida as a supervisor. He married his wife Esther Rothenburg in St. Joseph, MI., on May 26,1967. Allen enjoyed gardening, fishing, bowling and he had a special fondness for dancing with his wife. Allen is survived by his wife, Esther, and his daughters, Cynthia (Reiny) Juengling of East Wenatchee, WA, Dona Lucker of Stevensville, MI, Ellen (Douglas) Mikkelsen of St. Joseph, MI, and Tammy (Brian) Ashley of St. Joseph, MI. He is survived by two step-daughters, Phyllis (Ken) Rowe and Jeannie (Carl) Bucher. Allen is also survived by 9 grand children, 2 step grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren. Allen is also survived by his sister, Arlene (Myron) Lockwitz of Stevensville, MI and his brother, Alvin (Karen) Rosewall of Bradenton, FL.and several nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother Agnes Rosewell, his brother, Donald Rosewall; granddaughter, Erin Mikkelsen and a stepson, Jay Russell.
