Dorothy Swafford

Dorothy Louise Swafford, 79, passed away January 11, 2016 in a local hospital.   She was a graduate of Howard High School and was employed with Barry of Chattanooga at Chattanooga Airport.  She was a member of Greater Tucker Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Egertis and Mary Burton; siblings, Marie, Calvin, Johnnie, Clara, Everlyn, Bernice, Henry, Earlest, Charles; grandson, Colton Swafford. Survivors include her sons, Glenn and Michael Swafford, both of Chattanooga, TN; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; friends, Ynetta, Glenda, Ms. Hightower, Valerie, Ms. Brooks and Erma Jones. The funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Greater Tucker MB Church.  Interment – Highland Memorial Gardens.    The body will lie in state 1 hour prior to service at the church the day of service.
