Irena Wojnarowycz – January 14th, 1927 – January 7th, 2017 It is with sadness that the Wojnarowycz family announces the passing of their beloved mother and grandmother Loving wife of the late Dmytro, she leaves behind her children Maria and her husband David Borysiak, Anhelyna and her husband Eugene Stefanyshyn, and Lesia Wojnarowycz. Baba will be truly missed by her grandchildren Kataryna, Ivanna, Stephan, and Mark. She leaves behind brother August Nowakowski Born in Przemysl Medyka, Irena immigrated to Canada in 1959. Irena continued to be involved in the Ukrainian Church Community and will be forever remembered for her contributions. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and friend who will be missed by many Resting at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME (124 King Street E., Oshawa) with Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. George the Great Martyr Ukrainian Catholic Church on Thursday January 12th at 11am. Interment at St. Wolodymyr and St. Olha Cemetery. Panachyda will be held at 7:30pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations to the St. George the Great Martyr Ukrainian Catholic Church would be appreciated. Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 11th from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
