<p>Vickie Elaine Slaunwhite </p><p>November 2, 1954 - December 23, 2015</p><p>It is with great sadness that the family of Vickie Elaine Slaunwhite, announces her passing after a lengthy illness and hard fought battle at Rouge Valley Centenary Hospital in Scarborough,Ontario. She will be dearly missed by her daughter Amanda and Son in Law Shawn Carter, Husband Paul Beaudry and Grandsons Lane and Evan. Cherished Sister of Karen (Henry), Patsy (Stephen), Laureen (John), Debbie and Roger. Caring Aunt to Tina, Christopher, Terri-Ann, Lacy, Holly, Adam, Tara, Bradley, Jenna, Lisa, Marissa, James, Tylar and Ellen and many great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her Father Vernon, Mother Annie, Sisters Diane and Maureen and Sister in law Ann. </p><p>Vickie's passion in life was Nursing, and she worked most of her career as an RN at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences. She rounded out her career in long term care at Village of Taunton Mills and Port Perry Community Nursing Home.</p><p>Vickie's family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the amazing staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Cardiac G5 unit, with special gratitude to Dona, Cathy and Jessica. We would also like to express our utmost appreciation to Dr Ravi Tahaliani for his thorough and compassionate care. The impact of quality healthcare professionals during Vickie's illness is immeasurable and will never be forgotten.</p><p>Friends and Family may call for visitation on Thursday December 31st from 11am-12pm at Armstrong Funeral Home (124 King St E, Oshawa) with a service to follow in the funeral home chapel from 12pm-1pm. A tea party reception will be held afterwards at the White House Bed and Breakfast.
