Obituary of Dennis Snyder SNYDER, Dennis Edward - May 10, 1962 - August 10, 2012 - Passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in his 50th year. Best friend & loving husband for 25 years to Jo-anne (Hine). Incredible and supportive Dad to Ken (Liz) & Will (Drue). Survived by his sister Diane (David) and his Uncle Reg (Ruth) and father-in-law William (Gayle). Brother-in-law to Stephen, Susan, Gaynor, Glyn (Allison), and Uncle to many nieces and nephews. His passing leaves a deep sadness for his many beloved friends. Dennis was devoutly loyal and if you were his friend, he considered you his family. An extremely talented chef, his love of food started at an early age and was greatly influenced by his father. His first job was making pizzas and he lied about his age in order to get the job. He continued to work at many restaurants, honing his skills, until he found his home at Beachwood Resort, where he was the executive chef for 23 years. Family and Dennis' extended family are invited to a celebration of life on Sunday, August 19th from 1 - 5 p.m. at Beachwood Resort (www.beachwoodresort.com), 3043 Beachwood Drive, Lakefield.
