Obituary of Reta Gail McPherson McPherson, Reta Gail - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Reta "Gail" McPherson. Gail passed awayin her 70thyear,peacefully surrounded by her familyat homeon February 14th, 2019 after an unexpected, but courageous battle with cancer. Gail will forever be greatly missed and cherished by her husband and soul mate of almost 52 years Danny, her daughters Cheryl (Heather) and Cindy (Jay), grandchildren Tyler, Daryl, Tiana, Trey, and D'Onte, and great grandchildren Jersey and Emerson. Gail will also be greatly missed by her best "sister friend" Vera (George) of 45 years. Gail worked for 35 years at Wendy's Restaurant, first starting in Oshawa and then transferring to the Peterborough Lansdowne location in 1993. Gail continued to work until the day after her cancer diagnosis, not because she had to, but because she wanted to. One to put smiles on people's faces and make their day, Gail loved interacting and socializing with the customers and staff who all became a part of her extended family. A go getter, who was full of spunk, Gail continued to use this attitude to bravely fight her battle with cancer. Cremation has taken place, at Gail's request, no services will be held at this time, however her family will plan A Celebration of Gail's life at a future date. The family wishes to thank everyone who took care of Gail: All the PRHC Cancer care staff, Dr. Lo and Dr. Broomfield; St. Elizabeth's Health Care and Nurses Kristena and Keitha.
