Obituary of Thomas Michael Brick Brick, Thomas Michael- retired farmer, excavator, entrepreneur and beloved husband of Doris Brick (nee O’Brien who passed in 2015). Tom died peacefully at his Toronto home with family at his side on Saturday June 2, 2018 in his 87th year. Dear father of Janet (Greg) of Toronto, Carolyn (Richard) of Toronto, Gerald (Jackie) of Fernie, BC, Maureen (Sam) of Newmarket, Michelle (Mike) of Toronto and Vince (Tricia) of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Loving Grandfather to 17 grandchildren and Great Grandfather to 1. A cherished Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews around the world. Tom was predeceased by his parents William and Beatrice Brick and siblings Margaret, John, Patrick, Tim and Ray. Tom received excellent hospital care over the years at Peterborough Regional Health Centre and Mount Sinai Hospital;along with fine personal support workers from The Neighbourhood Group, in particular Alzia Kennedy. The community will remember Tom’s support of Doris’ political career, his great sense of humour, big heart and smile. Visitation at ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME & RECEPTION CENTRE, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough, ON K9H 2A2 on Friday June 8, 2018 from 4 PM - 8 PM with funeral services at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday June 9, 2018 at St. Martin of Tours Parish, Ennismore. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Canadian Blood Services, where he donated over 100 units of blood or the St. Martin’s Cemetery Fund would be causes close to Tom’s heart.
