Obituary
Argyle, Frank- On July 15th, 2016, Frank Argyle kept his promise to keep a date with an angel, his wife Gloria Joyce (Palmer), who predeceased him in 1985. Born in Toronto in 1932, Frank was predeceased by his parents Colin Argyle and Elizabeth Rudge. Frank will be sadly missed by his daughter, Laura Nutt and husband Darrell, brother in-law Sam Palmer and wife Sherry. His grandchildren, Christopher Nutt and wife Anna, Alexandra Nutt and friend, Colton Bell, and Johnathan Nutt. Great grandchildren, Alexander and Gabriella Nutt. Nephew, Michael Palmer. Daughter in-law, Nancy Argyle and sister in-law, Hilda Argyle, and many loving nieces and nephews. Pieces of his heart went to heaven when he lost his oldest daughter Lynne Argyle and youngest son, Frank Argyle in 2013. Frank was the last surviving member of his family. Predeceased by siblings Colin Argyle (Mary), Edna Mullin (Tom), Phylis Webster (Herb) and William Argyle. Frank was a lithographer by trade at OFFSET Print and Litho in Toronto for many years. Upon moving to Stratford he was a supervisor for Prestonia Stationery, Harlequin Distribution and retired from Valeo (Blackstone). Frank enjoyed his music and singing along with devoting his life to his family. His grandchildren will remember him for his quick wit and sense of humour. He married the love of his life in 1951 in Toronto and moved to the Lucknow area in 1964. Frank will be remembered by his special friends, Alan Sanderson, the McCool family, Edwin and Gladys Banks, Pearl Nowack, Jamie Bart, Wayne Parsons, Colleen White and Colleen Ryan. The family will be forever grateful to our friend and family doctor, Dr. Danielle Anstett. Special nursing and PSW staff from the Stratford General Hospital including, Polly Hoekstra, Melanie Kenter, Erin Byatt and Jenn. The family will be receiving friends for visitation on Wednesday July 20th, 2016 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at James A. Rutherford Funeral Home, 156 Albert St., Stratford (519-271-5062). On Thursday July 21st, a graveside service will take place at Greenhill Cemetery officiated by Rev. Pirie Mitchell, in Lucknow at 2pm. Following the service in Lucknow, a luncheon will take place at the home of Frank's daughter Laura.
