The family of Ivan (Yvon) St. Amour of Timmins, Ontario wish to share, with sadness, his sudden passing at the age of 62. Ivan is survived by his daughters Renee and Amy St. Amour, and his grandson Liam. He is also survived by his sister Diane and brother-in-law Michel St. Onge, as well as his many nieces, nephews, in-laws. Ivan is preceded in death by his mother Aurore Levasseur (Sauther Levasseur) and father Edgar St. Amour, his brothers Maurice, Roger, Robert, Marcel and his sister Claudette. In the 80’s, Ivan worked tirelessly, and with dedication, to co-found the Timmins area’s first chapter of Narcotics Anonymous. Ivan spoke passionately and publicly about addictions and recovery. Through his work and sponsorship, he touched many lives. Ivan always knew how to keep it simple and take it one day at a time. May he rest in serenity. Cremation will take place. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that remembrance donations be made to The Jubilee Centre.
