It is with great sadness that the family of Ron Haydukewich announces his unfortunate passing on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at the young age of 54, surrounded by his loving family at the Victoria Hospital. Ron is survived by his precious wife Betty of 35 years; three wonderful children Jeffrey (Angelique) of Neilburg, SK, Bradley (Tiffaney) of Neilburg, SK and Desiree of Weirdale, SK; one sister Sandra (Donald) Aiken of Prince Albert, SK; four brothers Garry Haydukewich of Candle Lake, SK, Brian (Bev) Haydukewich of Candle Lake, SK, Doug (Lea) Haydukewich of Edmonton, AB and Terry Haydukewich of Vermillion, AB; mother-in-law Margaret Jones of Prince Albert, SK; his brother-in-law Bob (Gail) Jones of Meath Park, SK; his three sisters-in-law Donna (Ed) Hachkowski of Ardrossan, AB, Nancy (George) Pistun of Prince Albert, SK and Marj (Harold) Bergen of Saskatoon, SK and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and aunts and uncles. Ron was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Matilda (Tillie) Haydukewich; one infant sister Ellen; father-in-law George Jones and brother-in-law Jim Jones. Ron was born on December 2, 1953 in Prince Albert, SK. He spent his life in the Candle Lake area, where as a boy he enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping which he continued to master throughout his exceptional life. Welding was his trade and burning rod was his life. Ron’s passion for his trade shined through in everything he built, fabbed or touched. His precision and extraordinary tradesman-ship allowed him to be a great mentor while he traveled western Canada and North West Territories. He considered his family to be of the greatest joy and importance while always maintaining and gaining friendship along the way. Ron was a courageous man who accomplished so much and found nothing he could not achieve or wouldn’t try. He was an amazing husband, a loving father and a cherished friend. Ron had a life of sharing, caring and the love of endless giving who will be missed by all. SHOOT THE BIG ONE FOR US DAD! In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan, 1231 " 8th Street East, Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5. The Celebration of Ron’s Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 260 " 25th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Mr. Brian Clarke officiating.
