Anne Furrow

FURROW, Anne Louise 79, from Oro Valley, AZ, gained her angel wings on March 26, 2017. She moved to AZ from Iowa in 1952 and was a 1956 grad of Amphi HS. Anne earned her RN degree at St. Mary's Nursing School and served four years in the Air Force and 30 in the Reserves. She worked as a Pediatric Nurse at Pima County Health Dept for 30 years. During that time she became one of the 1st licensed Nurse Practitioners in AZ. In her quest to better the lives of women and children, she served many years on the Board of Reachout Women's Center. Through her career she touched thousands of children's lives. Everyone loved "Dr. Anne". All who knew her will remember her selfless acts of kindness and generosity to others. She is survived by her brother, Bill (Laurie) Furrow of Medford, OR and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Betty (Russ) Beving of Ackley, Iowa. Anne is also survived by her long-time friend and honorary sister, Bonnie Morrison along with the entire Morrison and McCommon families. Visitation will be Friday, March 31, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle, 5150 N. Valley View Rd.
