Isabel Payan

Isabel Maria Payan was born in Worland, Wyoming on July 10, 1927 as the eldest of ten children to Jesus Cervantes De La O and Leandra Cervantes De La O. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Manuel Payan. Isabel is survived by her three children Manuel Payan, Hope Palacio, and Rueben Payan and by her five granddaughters Adrianne, Anna, Leah, Alyssa, and Emilie. Isabel is also survived her other loving daughters and sons Sally, Melissa, Lupe, Armando, and Ryan. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on June 23, 1967 and was a regular publisher for 52 years before passing away on June 26, 2019. When health permitted, Isabel was rarely missing from the Kingdom Hall and she worked tirelessly in the ministry of sharing the good news. One of her favorite things to discuss was how eager she was to be in the new world and meet her loved ones; often beginning with the phrase “Can you imagine?”. Isabel was known for her hardworking and hospitable spirit, offering her home for many years for the book study and providing meals for countless friends of the congregation. She was always willing to assist any who needed it whether it be materially or spiritually to the best of her ability.
