Wilma Ruth Accardo, daughter of James and Dorothy Ellis, passed away June 10, 2020 at the age of 88. Ruth was born January 25, 1932 on a farm near Palestine, Illinois where she was raised. She was a graduate of Bradley University where she met her husband, Joseph Ernest Accardo. They moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1960. This August would have been their 66th wedding anniversary. Ruth was an artist at heart. She loved painting in her youth and designing intricate quilts when she was older. Before retiring to care for her mother, Ruth was a small business owner; starting with a dance studio and eventually having an antique store called Cameo Antiques. She also loved to read and no one could resist her cooking. She is survived by her husband Joe, daughters Kerrie and Jami, and grandsons Aaron, Glen, and Micah. She was preceded in death by her siblings Robert, Carol, and Gilbert. There will be no Memorial Service
