Francis Joseph LaCoco

Francis Joseph LaCoco, age 84, known to friends and family as Frank, passed away on January 18, 2021. He was born in Chicago on May 8, 1936 to the late Frank and Josephine (nee Morano). He joins his beloved wife of 40 years, Margaret, in heaven. Frank is survived by his children Frank Jr. (Linda), Loriann (Don), and Joseph (Sara). He leaves behind his granddaughters Dana (Chris), Molly Jo, Kayla, and Mia; and his great-grandson Harrison Francis; as well as his sister Theodora (Ben) Rezba, brother of the late Jerry (Lorraine). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Frank had a zest for life and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, telling stories about his adventures, and cracking everyone up with his one-liners. He spent his career working for the City of Chicago, Department of Streets and Sanitation. He was truly one of a kind and will be dearly missed. Visitation Thursday from 3-7 P.M. at Lawn Funeral Home, 7732 W. 159th St. Orland Park, IL 60462. Due to the current health guidelines, we are limited to 10 attendees at a time. We kindly ask that you quickly exit the funeral home after paying your respects to the family so that all visitors have an opportunity to enter. Masks and proper social distancing are required. The coffee lounge is not available for use, please refrain from bringing food into the funeral home. A private Funeral Mass will be held at St. Julie Billiart Church. Information on a celebration of life to be held at a later date will be forthcoming.
