Shirley J. Beene 63, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 26, 2012. She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis M. Snook and son, Roger L. Beene. She is survived by mother, Margaret A. Snook; daughter, Karen (Steve) Vick; sister, Peggy (Fran) Karn; brothers, Harlow (Jackie) Snook and Albert Snook and grandchildren, Justina (Alec) Ghromley, Jeremy Vick and Madison Vick. She has many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be missed by many. She enjoyed scrap booking, her grandchildren, traveling and helping others. She was known as the "Button Lady" for The Compassionate Friends. She was President for the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Assoc (NARFE). Join us for a candle light celebration of her life on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the Children's Memorial Park, 4851 N. 15th Place at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Compassionate Friends or Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Tucson.
