Gracie Turner, 78, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 in a local hospital. She was born on August 27, 1938 in Eden, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Midland Bowl Wednesday League. She was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her husband Robert Turner. Graveside services are 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas. She is survived by her daughter, Terry Sonnenberg of Stone Lake, WI; a step-daughter, Christine Rutledge and her children of Iowa; a step son, Daniel Turner and his children of Ohio and her brother, Berry Pitanello of Lubbock, TX. The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith. Memorials may be made to the Sebastian County Humane Society 3800 Kelley Hwy.
