Joseph Bill Rompa, of Westminster, CO died Saturday September 2nd, 2017. He was born in Ofeherto, Hungary, September 14, 1928, a son of the late Istvan & Erzsebet Rompa.
He graduated on July 9th, 1955 with a degree in Agriculture from the Foreign Language Academy, with a specialty in Russian translation. He emigrated to the United States during the Hungarian revolution shortly thereafter with his now deceased wife Clara. He quickly learned English, found work and became a US citizen on Dec 6th, 1968. He also established his own landscaping company while still working at his printing press position.
Joseph is survived by his daughter, Judy M. Morris of Davie, Fla.; his son, Victor J. Rompa and his wife, Nancy, of Westminster, CO.; his four grandchildren, Adam Dobzinski, Kreg Dobzinski, Thomas Dobzinski and Debbie Giles; his five great-grandchildren, Mandy and Joseph Giles, Domenic Rebori, Benjamin and Teddy Dobzinski, his sister Istvana Cserepes of Ofeherto, Hungary, and several nieces, nephews and friends.
His family will receive relatives and friends, Friday September 15th for visitation at 3PM with a service at 4PM at the Rundus Funeral Home 1998 W 10th Ave, Broomfield, CO 80020. Following the service, Mr. Rompa's family would like to invite relatives and friends to stay for a reception at Rundus.
