John H. Schulthess, III, of Springfield, Massachusetts passed from his earthly life onto eternal life on Monday, February 27, 2012. John was born on February 21, 1957 in Hartford, Connecticut. He lived most of his adult life in Springfield. He grew up in Enfield, CT and graduated from Enrico Fermi High School. He received an Associate Degree from Manchester Community College. John was a lifelong salesman, with the gift to gab and great sense of humor, he always had a spontaneous story or joke to tell which lightened everyone’s day. He was the life of “the party” and you knew you would have a fun time if “Johnnie” attended. John worked in the Pest Control industry for over thirty years. He was the co-owner and prime salesman of Affordable Pest Control Co. Inc., licensed to do business in both Massachusetts and Connecticut. John was a member of the National Pest Management Assn., the New England Pest Management Assn., and the Connecticut Pest Control Assn. He is survived by his mother Lillian Schulthess, his brother Mark Schulthess and his wife Nannette, of Cheshire, CT, his brother Stephen Schulthess and his wife Betsy, of Exeter, NH along with his beloved nieces and nephews all of whom loved him dearly. The Schulthess Family would like to thank all those who provided friendship and support to John, including Tom Klein and Marge and Ron Goulet. Your friendship and kindness will not be forgotten. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service in celebration of John’s life will be held at St. Bernard’s Church 426 Hazard Ave. Enfield on Saturday March 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield CT has been entrusted with the arrangements.
