Ray Whitener, 69, husband to the late Cynthia (Underwood) Whitener, passed away Monday May 21, 2018 at Summerfield Manor Nursing Home. He was born to the late Raymond and Ramona (West) Whitener in Louisville on February 15, 1949. Ray worked as a facilities manager for the University of Louisville, was a member of the UL Alumni Association, Auburndale Neighborhood Association, and Kenwood Heights Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons, Mike Whitener (Lisa), Todd Whitener (Danielle), brother Bryan Whitener, granddaughter, Tiara Whitener, nieces, Amy Strange, Niki Stroud, Brianna Whitener, and a great-niece Chloe Whitener. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 6:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 until time of service at the funeral home.
