Nestor Francisco Lopez, age 68, of Milford passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2008, the “Day that will live in Infamy”, in the West Haven Veteran’s Hospital. He was born on June 20, 1940 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to the late Francisco & Matilda Bidot Lopez. Moving to Milford in 1956, he graduated from Milford High School in 1959 and then attended the Connecticut School of Electronics. He proudly served in the US Army during the Viet Nam War. Retiring after 40 years with Barnes Engineering, he was a member of the Ansonia Rod and Gun Club, Stratford Gun Club, Military Vehicle Collectors Club and the NRA. Mr. Lopez is survived by his devoted wife, of 42 years, Elizabeth Reader Lopez, sons Francisco Daniel Lopez of Milford and Alexander Nestor Lopez of Stratford and 2 grandchildren. Friends may call on Friday, December 12, 2008 at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford from 10 to 11:30am with a prayer service at 11am during the calling hours. Interment will be private.
