Beverly-Ann DeNicola

Beverly-Ann DeNicola, 87, of Stamford, CT and Duxbury, MA passed away peacefully on Friday, March 5, 2021. She was born in New Britain, CT on April 23, 1933 to the late Frank Everett and Blanche Desjardins Strong. Beverly grew up in New Canaan, CT and was a graduate of New Canaan High School. She also attended Dean Junior College and the University of Rhode Island. She moved to Stamford after she was married, and resided there for over fifty years with her husband Frank. They raised their two children in Stamford. Beverly spent many happy years in the employ of Gabriel Chiropractic office as a bookkeeper. She painstakingly traced her family’s genealogy and was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Additionally, Beverly relished quiet time knitting, needle pointing and drawing. She created beautiful gifts for friends and family. She and her husband were avid sports fans most notably of UConn basketball. In her later years, they also spent summers and holidays enjoying special time with family and friends at their vacation home in Massachusetts. Her final residence was with her daughter and family in Duxbury, MA. Her greatest love was spending time and actively following the pursuits of her seven grandchildren. She was a caring wife, a wonderful mother, and adoring grandmother. Beverly will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving children, Frank ”Skip” DeNicola, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Trumbull, CT and Judy Hickey and her husband Brian of Duxbury, MA, as well as her grandchildren, Margaret, Caroline, Daniel, Katherine, Brian, Abigail and Kevin. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her devoted husband, Frank A. DeNicola, Sr. in 2019. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Cherry Street, New Canaan. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, New Canaan. Masks are required and please follow social distancing guidelines. Due to COVID, there will be no calling hours, and for those unable to attend the church service, the funeral mass will be available via a live stream link.
