James L. Johnson, Sr., 88, of Bridgeville, Delaware, departed this world, and entered into the arms of the Lord, on Monday, August 12, 2019, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Delaware. Mr. Johnson, affectionately known as Little Buddy, was married to the late Dorothy Johnson for 63 years, and to this union, nine children were born. At the age of 16, he began working for James A. Hill Company and stayed with them for many, many years. Once James A. Hill went out of business, James went to work at Godiva Chocolate Factory in Bridgeville, Delaware. Mr. James was a hard-working man that loved his family dearly. Mr. Johnson leaves to cherish his memory, nine children, James L. Johnson, Jr. (Vivian), Ronnie Johnson, Jeffery Johnson, Rose Marie Johnson, Peggy Williams (Maurice), Greg Johnson (Elizabeth), Barbara Johnson, Betsy Glover, and Kenneth Johnson; 21 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
