Trevor Claxton Lauderdale Lakes, Florida Obituary

Trevor Claxton

Trevor “Missing Link” Claxton, age 63, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, died on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by close friends and family. Born on February 5, 1957, on the beautiful island of Nevis, he was the son of Hyacinth Archibald and Charles Walwyn. He was a soldier in the St. Kitts and Nevis Defense Force, which he joined back in 1975 and served until he decided to pursue his life on the wonderful islands of the British Virgin Islands in the year 1981, where he joined the BVI National Cricket Team. Trevor was an amazing player and loved both cricket and the game of dominoes so much. I can see him now slamming the dominoes on the table, smiling and still somehow managing to stay focused to the point he sometimes knew what the next play was already going to be, which nobody ever understood. Missing Link was definitely a great fit for Trevor. Around the year 1985, he finally decided to move to the sunshine state we all know as South Florida. Trevor loved his job so much as a fiberglass technician. For more than 23 years, he was very faithful to the point every morning he was the first one on the job. Trevor’s passion for cricket continued as he joined the South Florida Cricket Association National Cricket Team. An outstanding cricketer, most would say. Oh, let’s not forget his faithful trips he took to Bruno’s Bakery every Saturday. If an award could be given, he would most definitely be a nominee, for he loved his belly, but what man doesn’t? We’ll definitely be missing a link. A missing link is a person, place, or thing that is needed in order to complete a series, provide continuity, or gain complete knowledge. Trever is survived by his mother and father, 12 kids, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and other family and friends too numerous to mention. Remembering you will be the easy part, but knowing that you’re gone is the heartache that may never heal, for your wings were ready, but our hearts weren’t. Rest in Peace, TREVOR A. CLAXTON
