Deborah Lee Obituary

Deborah Darlene Lee passed away Monday, December 15, 2014. Darlene was born August 30, 1956, in Pensacola, Florida, and resided here most of her life. After receiving her BSN/RN, Darlene worked in the Intensive Care Unit and the Pavilion at West Florida Hospital. She then worked Cardiac Rehab at Sacred Heart Hospital, and was currently Nursing Program Director at Locklin Technical Center. Darlene loved her friends and family and we will all miss her "crabcakes at the beach house," her "perfectly chopped veggies and the front porch swing. As we write this, we think of how she always put us ahead of herself, "just like mom," and we cherish the time we had with her. She was our Rock! Darlene was preceded in death by her loving father, Bartley Eugene Lord. She is survived by her devoted husband of 34 years, Dewey E. "Duke" Lee; her daughter, Chari Huntzberry; son, Doug Lee; mother, Jackie Lord; brothers, Bart Lord and Mike (Kathy) Lord; two grandchildren, Shelby Leeann Sanders and Kilan Huntzberry; aunts, Carol (Glen) Davenport and Colleen Lord; and lifelong special friends, Susie Whitworth and Patti Heller. A special thanks to her daughter Chari and brother Bart for the many hours of care. Pallbearers will be Billy Lord, Doug Lord, Wylie Land, Carl Jordan, James Lansdon, and Marvin King. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 19, 2014, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel, with Rev. Glen Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabeth Chapel Community Cemetery, Chumuckla. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel.
