Sylvester Steve Wisniewski, 81, of Berryhill Road, Milton FL, passed away Friday October 21, 2011 at West Florida Hospice Division. Steve (Ski) was born August 6, 1930 in Farmington, Ohio of Sylvester Wisniewski and Theresa Wisniewski (Kravec). He was one of nine brothers and sisters, Rita (deceased), Theresa and Helen, brothers Walter, Mike, twins Howard and John and Richard (deceased). Ski was married to Mary Locklin (deceased) and has two sons Jeffery and Edward. Ski also has one granddaughter, Gillian. Steve attended post graduate school while in the Navy where he served for twenty years, and after working his way up the ranks he attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander at the time of his honorable discharge. After his discharge Ski went into property management until retirement in 1995. After which he moved to Milton with Mary and built his retirement house. Steve split his time among landscaping his house and being active in the community. He served on the Milton Cemetery board, Milton Planning board, and also was very active as a Master Gardener. The viewing will be held at Lewis Funeral home (Milton) Wednesday October 26, 2011 from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM. And a memorial dinner at his house Thursday October 27, 2011 starting at 6:00 PM. Ski will be missed by all who knew him, as Ski was always ready to assist with any endeavor, quick generosity, and kind heart.
