George Dalton

George Otis Dalton, age 76 of Demorest, passed away Monday, November 07, 2016, at his residence. Born in Banks County on April 25, 1940, he was a son of the late Clate and Ruby Shubert Dalton. Mr. Dalton retired from Fieldale with 35 years of service and was a member of Trinity Full Gospel Church. In his spare time he enjoyed the outdoors and reading his Bible. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dalton was preceded in death by his brother, J. R. Dalton; sisters, Mary Tyler and Adelee Dalton; and granddaughter, Jennifer Dalton. Survivors include his daughters, Vickey Dalton and Joyce Ann Dalton both of Demorest and Marilyn Canington of Mauk, GA; sons, Rev. Richard Dalton and Otis Parr both of Clarkesville; sisters, Winnie Dalton of Atlanta and Betty Jean Davidson of Homer; seven grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; family friend, Sharon Rich of Demorest. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Bill Trotter and Rev. Richard Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery with Rev. Carl King officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Tuesday.
