Mrs. Katherine Pappas Kutulas, age 86 of 456 King Drive, Hartwell, Ga., died on April 6, 2017. Born January 5, 1931 in Benjamin, Utah, she was the daughter of the late George Epaminondas Pappas and Calliope Lakafose Pappas. She is survived by her husband, John E. Kutulas of the home; sons, Ernest Kutulas and his wife, Carolyn of Birmingham, AL, Bill Kutulas, of Atlanta; daughter, Kalli Kutulas, Atlanta. Two grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Louis and John and by her sister, Panoria. She graduated from East High School, in Salt Lake City, UT, in 1949, attended Westminster College there and married John E. Kutulas on February 16, 1958. As a military wife, she resided in many places, including Florida, Illinois, Virginia, Newfoundland (Canada), Nebraska and Texas. She has lived in Hartwell since 1979. She had attended Mt. Olivet Church of God in Hartwell. She was a kind and great person who thought well of everyone. May she receive her just rewards in Heaven. Katherine will be laid to rest on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Three O'Clock p.m.at the Mt. Olivet Church of God Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home and no formal visitation or services will be held. Coile-Hall-Spagnoli Funeral Home, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell will be serving the Kutulas family.
