Elizabeth A. ''Betty'' Niquette Obituary

Elizabeth A. “Betty” Niquette, nee Ballinger, 75, passed away on September 8, 2012 in Tucson, Arizona where she spent her retirement years. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 14, 1936. She graduated from Aquinas Dominican High School in 1954 and received her Associate’s Degree from DePaul University in 1956. She was preceded in death by her mother, E. Genevieve Rieck, nee Byrnes, and was a widow of her beloved husband of 53 years, Paul J. Niquette. She is survived by her four children: Paul Niquette, Nancy (George) Hock, Julie (David) Pfister, and Barbara Niquette along with nine grandchildren: George, Janet, Daniel, Michelle, Chelsea, Nathaniel, Anthony, Nicholas and Jessica. Betty and Paul were enthusiastic duplicate bridge players and enjoyed traveling. Visitation Friday, September 14, 2012 from 5-9PM. Funeral Saturday, September 15, 2012, 10:45 a.m. from Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave., (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL to St. Julie Billiart Church. Mass 11:30 a.m. Interment private at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Parkinson’s Disease Foundation or Macular Degeneration Foundation.
