Mary Lou Davies Graveside services for Mrs. Mary Lou Davies of West Monroe, LA will be 11:00am Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Hasley Memorial Pavilion in West Monroe with Rev. James Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paschal Cemetery in West Monroe under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Griffin Funeral Home 911 Warren Dr. West Monroe. Mrs. Davies was born August 25, 1937 in Point, LA and passed from this life on April 29, 2019 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 81. She was a longtime member of McClendon Baptist Church and was a “master gardener”, who enjoyed the beauty of watching things grow. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ron Davies; her parents, Herman and Lela Guice; one sister, Barbara Ann Guice; and one brother, Bobby Guice. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Brad Gilmore; her brother, Reggie Guice; three grandchildren, Justin Gilmore, Jacob Gilmore and Chris Lewis; four great-grandchildren, Jaycelynn Lewis, Brylon Lewis, Wesson Gilmore and Carter Gilmore; her best friend and cousin, Janet Witty; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
