Obituary
Maria Mannino nee Cusumano, 79, of Sewell, NJ entered into God’s eternal rest on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Pennsylvania Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Carini, Sicily, Maria emigrated to the United States with her husband and children in July of 1975 where they took up residence in the Chambersburg area of Trenton for many years. She worked alongside her husband Giovanni to build their pizza business, Mannino’s Pizza which was located on Hamilton Avenue for many years. In 1988 they moved to Robbinsville, NJ where they resided for 22 years. In Sicily she was employed as an expert seamstress. She was a member of the Convento del Rosario di Carini and the San Lorenzo Cappuccini di Carini. She was an excellent homemaker who loved to cook and feed her family. She enjoyed traveling, especially trips to both Atlantic City and Las Vegas. Maria loved nothing more than quality time spent with both family and friends. She adored her beloved grandchildren whom she had a hand in raising. Maria was a genuine and loving person to all those she came in contact with. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Daughter of the late Pasquale and Francesca (Sansone) Cusumano; sister-in-law to the late Rosalia and Girolamo DiStefano, Vito Mannino, Salvatore Minnone, and Nancy Mannino; Maria leaves behind to mourn her loss, her loving husband of 52 years, Giovanni Battista Mannino; her four devoted children, Antonina and husband Giovanni Sparacio, Marco Mannino and wife Denise, Maurizio Mannino and wife Cristina, and Francesco Mannino and wife Kristen; her 12 beloved grandchildren: Alessandro, Giovanni Paolo, Francesca, Giovanni Battista, Marco Mannino Jr., Matteo, Luca, Christian, Julian, Adrian, Lorenzo, and Angelo; her 2 brothers Salvatore Cusumano and wife Maria Stella and Nunzio Cusumano and wife Milena; her sister Laura “Pina” Minnone; two brothers-in-law Marcantonio Mannino and Croce Mannino and wife Teresa; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends both here and in Italy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ. Followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cemetery Ln., Bordentown, NJ. Family and friends may call Monday evening from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619.
