Beatrice Karcher
Age 91, passed away on June 14, 2010. She was born on August 10, 1918 in Cincinnati, OH the daughter of Alvie and Lillie (Purdy) Neal. Bea was the owner and operator of Cracker Barrel grocery store on the corner of Peck Lake Rd. and M66 for many years. She married Robert G. Karcher who owned a Chiropractic business in Ionia. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Robert Karcher; daughter, Sally Leys; 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Surviving are her children Gary Karcher and family, Terry Karcher and family, Fran Lawrence and family; grandchildren Scott, Janice, Neal, Jennifer, Kyle, Kelly, Debbie, Amy, Brenda; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Bacherms; brother, Wayne Neal; several nieces and nephews. Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, June 18, 2010 and Saturday June 19, 2010 from 2 - 8 p.m. at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Homes, 220 Rich Street, Ionia.
