David Ruehs
David H. Ruehs Lyons, MI Age 64, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 9, 2014, after a long, courageous struggle with cancer. Mr. Ruehs was a veteran of the U.S. Army, retired from T.R.W. in 2005, and was a member and Elder at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Portland. Family was very important to David, and he enjoyed drag racing. Preceding him in death were his parents, Harold and Oneta Ruehs; father-in-law, John Pline; sisters-in-law, Linda Buskirk and Cindi Ruehs; brother-in-law, Ken Pline. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Susan; sons, David (Jennifer) Ruehs and Timothy (Rebecca) Ruehs; grandchildren, Shelby, Alicia, Nolan, Cooper and Coltin; siblings, Patricia (Ron) Klein, Paul Ruehs and Pete (Tommie) Ruehs; mother-in-law, Catherine Pline; in-laws, Chuck Buskirk, Sandy (Gordie) Fyan, John (Randee) Pline, Gary Pline and Kathy (Bruce) Kenyon; several nieces, nephews and friends. The Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2014 at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 8867 Kent Street, Portland, with Pastor Ed Filter presiding. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland, and from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the church.
