Age 53, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2004. He was born on February 3, 1951 in Battle Creek, MI the son of William and Iola (Stone) Norris. Larry was an artist and his canvas was hair. He loved to cook and garden and put others first, always willing to help anyone. The world needs more people like Larry. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Paul Scott Norris. Surviving are 4 children: Joel (Stephanie) Norris of Hastings, Tony Norris of Bowling Green, KY, Marisa (Nathan) Derusha of Vermontville, Brooke Norris of Kalamazoo and their mother, Debbie Norris of Hastings; 2 grandchildren, Tracy Havens-Norris, Erin Derusha, and another expected grandbaby; life partner David Lange of Portland; 3 brothers, William (Nancy) Norris of Dowling, MI, Rayford (Sandy) Norris of Celina, TN, and Paul Norris of Battle Creek; loyal companion Beau; special friends, Michelle Poole, Kathy Miller, and Beth Anderson; several nieces and nephews. Private Family Services have been held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Lansing, MI. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Portland District Library in memory of Larry L. Norris. Larry loved fresh flowers.
