MARCIA ANN ACKERSON PORTLAND, MI Age 75, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2012. She was born on May 7, 1937 in Eagle, MI the daughter of Harry and Margaret (Moyer) Smith. Mrs. Ackerson was a Life Member of the Eastern Star. Preceding her in death were her parents; siblings, Geraldine (Lakin) Hatch, Harriet (Junker) Patrick, Douglas (Margaret) Smith, and Richard Smith. Surviving are her husband, Bruce Ackerson; children, Mark (Sandra) Ackerson, and Melissa (Jerry Pelak) Ackerson;granddaughter, Kerri Ackerson; siblings, Mary Alice Lawless, Roger (Joan) Smith, Allen (Lois) Smith; sister-in-law, Carolyn Smith. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Portland United Methodist Church, with Pastor Keith Treman presiding. Interment will follow at North Eagle Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland.
