Sharon Dolan

Sharon L. Dolan Westphalia Age 71, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 3, 2013. She was born on February 11, 1942 the daughter of Donald and Rita (Arens) Irrer. Sharon was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Westphalia. Sharon was an avid runner. She ran the Boston Marathon multiple times, was featured in national running magazines, and could always be found having fun at the finish line with her running friends. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dolan and her parents. Surviving are her sons Brian (Ranae) Hamilton and Eric (Cindy) Hamilton and grandchildren Eric, Joey, Joshua, Emily, Cameron, Jack, Drew, Abigail and Christina Hamilton; siblings Marilyn Fandel, Joann (John) Lehman, Donald Irrer, Jr., Dale (Elaine) Irrer, David (Karen) Irrer, Shirley (Russell) Manning, Larry (Joann) Irrer, Janet Irrer, Cindy (Dennis) Miller and William (Tina) Irrer; many nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Mathias Thelen at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 8, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Sunday at the St. Mary’s Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia St., Westphalia. The rosaries will be prayed at 8 p.m., Saturday and 3 p.m., Sunday. A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m., Sunday.
