Jean Marie Gowland Wilson, Age 78, passed into heaven on Saturday, June 3, 2017 peacefully at her home in Picayune, Mississippi. She joins her beloved husband of 57 years, Donald Lee Wilson who preceded her in death in April, 2016. She was born January 8, 1939 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Frances Katherine Burgan Gowland and Kirby Erwin Gowland, Sr. She had two brothers, the late George Ralph Gowland and is survived by Kirby Erwin Gowland, Jr. She leaves two children, Jeanne Lynn Wilson and Carl Ray Wilson (Nicole) and two grandchildren, Karissa Frances Wilson and Kyle Marcus Wilson, as well as a future grand-son-in-law, Jo Sam Rolfe. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She was a faithful attendee of Faith Assembly of God in Kiln, Mississipi. She will be remembered for her dedicated service to those in need, and for her annual appearance as “Gabby” in the Faith Assembly VBS programs. She was able to fulfill her lifelong dream of touring Europe earlier in 2017, thrilled as she was able to see her dream city, Paris, from the top of the Eiffel Tower. She leaves those who survived her with the hope and assurance that she is with her Savior and beloved husband.<br><br>Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Southeastern Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell, Louisiana. <br><br>
