Robert Wayne Mooney

Robert Wayne Mooney, Sr., age 61, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Friday, March 9, 2018.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at South East Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Drive., Slidell, Louisiana 70460.

Mr. Mooney was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a heavy equipment operator.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Nancy Boudreaux Dickerson of Walker, Louisiana; sons, Robert Mooney, Jr. of Livingston, Louisiana, and Brian Mooney of Livingston, Louisiana; daughter, Dena Kohl and her husband Sean of Carriere, Mississippi; brothers, John David Mooney, Jr. and his wife Susan of Minnesota, Tim Mooney of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Mike Mooney of Colorado, Jeff Mooney of Picayune, Mississippi, Jonathan Mooney of Colorado, and James Mooney of Picayune, Mississippi; sisters, Vickey Perez and her husband Poldo of Picayune, Mississippi, Sheila Mooney of Kiln, Mississippi, Mary Grant of LaPlace, Louisiana, and Kathy Calmes and her husband Brian of Picayune; grandchildren, Nicklas A. Casanas, Victoria F. Kohl, Davin S. Kohl, Austin Mooney, Serenity Mooney, Angel Lacoste, Brian Lacoste, Kelly Lacoste, Destny Lacoste, Savannah Mooney, Dalton Keiff, Ashley Keiff, and Devon Mooney; great-grandchildren, Ella Marie Keiff, Anthony Moley, and Layla Altazan; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John D. Mooney, Sr. and Alice W. Mooney; daughter, Angela Mooney; and grandchild, Cody Altazan.
